FAQ's
Q - How is Munox SR® applied to affected areas?
A - Munox SR® can be applied by manual pump sprayer and can be injected to subsurface by drilling or infiltration galleries.
Q - What amounts are required for application?
A - Approximately five to ten 55-gallon drums per acre based on the type and level of contamination and follow up application may be required based on weather conditions.
Q - How long after application would you see results?
A - Typically, within 2 - 3 days of application remediation and restoration is visibly apparent. The remediation process continues for 60 to 90 days following the first application.
Q - What happens to Munox SR® and the contaminants after the remediation process?
A - Once the contaminants are removed by Munox SR® by way of the natural breakdown process, through which the bi-products are water, carbon dioxide and bio-mass that can be considered for fish food or fertilizer, Munox SR® completely biodegrades after its work is completed.
Q - Has Munox SR® been or currently being used by any other organizations?
A - Munox SR® has been used by environmental engineers, service contractors, oil refineries, and property owners at more than 300 sites across North America.
Q - Are there any after effects to the environment, wildlife, vegetation, humans etc. after using Munox SR®?
A - Munox SR® returns the property back to its natural state, without any negative effects on the environment, wildlife, vegetation or humans.
Q - Why is Munox SR® better than other forms of remediation?
A - Once a situation has been determined to be appropriate for remediation using Munox SR® (identifying contaminants and geographical location - not in open water, etc.), the simplicity of application process, combined with the effectiveness and strength of the non-sporogenic bacteria strains make Munox SR® an ideal product. Munox SR® is applied directly to the contaminated area without having to disrupt the property. There is no need for invasive procedure or other remediation process, such as excavation and removal of contaminated soil. Munox SR® is safer than remediation chemicals, which are often strong oxidizers.
Q - Are there any health and safety concerns when using Munox SR®?
A - As with handling of any chemicals and live organisms, general precaution should be taken. Use and apply the product appropriately. The bacteria is nonpathogenic and safe for human health.
Q - Have there been any cases where Munox SR® was unsuccessful in remediation and restoration?
A - Only in cases where the initial diagnose of the contaminants, point of origination of the contaminants and other pertinent factors were not properly identified, the expectations could not be met.
Q - Is there a refund policy in place should Munox SR® not perform as stated?
A - Mariner’s Choice guarantees Munox SR® quality, but cannot guarantee the work being completed properly by independent contractors or product users.
